Welcome to A Stitch in Time Quilt Shop
Located in the picturesque Appalachian foothills of Franklin, NC,
A Stitch in Time offers quilting and sewing supplies to visiting quilters as well as the many local customers owner Maxine Ramey considers friends. When Maxine, an experienced seamstress, decided it was time to spread her wings after her daughters left home, opening a quilt shop was the natural choice for sharing her sewing passion with others. That passion became one of the
Top Ten Stores featured in the Fall/Winter 2010
Quilt Sampler. Creatively packaged quilt kits, patterns, books and original designs exclusive to
A Stitch in Time are offered. Buttons, trims, ribbons, threads and a full notions wall round out the selection. A full line of fabrics include cottons, canvas, rayon, batiks and more. Heirloom sewing supplies are stocked. Favorite fabric designers are featured, including Amy Butler, Kaffe Fassett, along with traditional fabrics such as Kansas Troubles and 30s prints.
Enthusiastic staff members offer help with selection and yardage. "Tuesday Technique" a free monthly class, is offered lecture/demo style, one Tuesday each month at 12:15. Check out our class calendar for this and other classes. A Stitch in Time is an authorized
Baby Lock dealer and is the local
Handiquilter representative. In house repair service by a certified technician is also available.
Whether you're eager to create an heirloom for generations to come or to fashion a utilitarian quilt for snuggling next to the fire, A Stitch in Time has all your quilting needs.
