Embroidery Club

May:
May 20-21 - In May the Embroidery Club will be working with mylar while embroidering. Purely Gates Embroidery Designs are specifically digitized to use with mylar allowing the designs to sparkle and shine without using metallic threads. The class sample features their Festive Fall Collection on a hoodie, but you can choose anything from Purley Gates and adorn anything you want. This 2-day class will also include a tutorial on selecting fabric and thread in preparation for embroidering a collection of designs.
June:
June 17-18 - In June the Embroidery Club will be featuring a design from Sweet Pea called the Christmas Moose Hanger. This cute little guy has his antlers adorned with Christmas lights and will be ready for when you decorate for the holidays. This design is embroidered in three panels then assembled on your sewing machine.
July:
July 15-16 - In July the Embroidery Club will dive in and make a Jewelry Roll from Embroidery Garden. This project is completed entirely in the hoop and is available in two sizes. It is ideal for travel and makes a wonderful gift for birthdays or holidays. A small surprise bonus project will be added on day two.

| Instructor Bio: | Like so many people in Franklin I grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Franklin for retirement in 2011. I am married to Dean, an obsessed quilter who spends his days making Quilts of Valor. I have one son, five grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and one spoiled Cavalier! My hobbies include quilting, paper crafting and machine embroidery. Fabric and sewing machines have always been a part of my life. Adding machine embroidery to the mix was a natural step. Little did I know it was so addicting! If you see me helping others learn to get the most out of their embroidery machines while making beautiful projects you know I am in my happy place! I can't wait to meet you in one of my classes. |
