Hummingbird Wall Hanging using Heat Resistant Mylar

No-Melt Mylar Template material is a great tool for making applique shapes, such as circles for berries, petals, and fruit as well as leaf shapes.
Using this method you make all of your applique pieces and glue them onto your background fabric precisely where you want them and they won’t budge. That way you have your piece ready to pick up at any time and applique …..great when traveling, waiting for appointments, watching TV, etc. A hot little iron and spray starch make for crisp edges to your applique and make it so easy to hide those applique stitches.
In this class, you will learn how to use this method on a hummingbird wall hanging. We will also have squares all ready for you to practice your applique stitches on. This is a handwork class. No machines are needed.
This method allows you to achieve clean, flat precise edges for perfect applique.
The Pattern will be purchased separately from the teacher. Please bring $5 cash for this purpose.

We ask that Class materials be purchased at A Stitch in Time. This helps us cover class expenses. We would like to ask you to check with us before purchasing any supplies to make sure the class has made.

Pre-registration with payment is required. You may register in person, by phone, or through our website class calendar. Be sure to register early to help us ensure sufficient enrollment is met.

Cancellations: If we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, weather, etc., class fees will be refunded. You may also receive a refund if you cancel your class up to 10-days prior to class.

Due to the teacher’s class planning and ordering of supplies, refunds will not be processed if you cancel less than 10-days before class.

Cancellations 4-9 days prior to class date: Any cancellations received 4-9 days from the date of the class will be refunded as a store credit. There could be exceptions to this rule for special events with an out-ot-town teacher.

Cancellation 3 or fewer days from class date are not eligible for a refund or store credit. Any exceptions to this will be on a case-by-case basis as determined by the owner.
