From March 1 until March 31, 2022, A Stitch in Time will be sponsoring our first Pocket Project: Positive Thoughts and Actions for Others. While we are waiting for Spring to really get going, lets take the opportunity to remember and think of others who who unwell, recovering, in mourning, lonely, depressed, or those who might just need a word of encouragement or to know you think of them often. One of the ways to do that is to make a small quilted piece that easily fits into a pocket or purse or even hangs on a door or window. Glue a magnet on the back for hanging on the refrigerator! This “pocket quilt” can actually have its own pocket for a note, quote or verse.
After your Pocket Project is complete, you can present it to a person or organization of your choice or bring it by A Stitch in Time and we will take gathered “quilt thoughts” to local nursing homes, cancer and dialysis centers, and hospice care.
