Decorative Circular fabric box on the Serger by Deb Canham
This fabric pot is decorated with Flatlock stitching and flatlock weaved trim. It measures 7 inches diameter x 5 inches high. The top of the pot is decorated with a wire edged fabric rose. This project is all about learning to be creative with stitches and decorative thread on the serger. The stabiliser is Bosal which is adhesive on the front and back and easy to sew.
This pot has been quilted using the Chain stitch but if your serger does not have Cover and Chain this can easily be done on the sewing machine.
The Decorative stitch on the rose top is 'Wave Stitch' but if your serger does not have that consider using a variegated thread and a 3 Thread Rolled Hem. Instructions are given for both methods.
